As of October 1, 2022, David Haas added the title of “NFL Agent” to his skillset.
The process of becoming an NFLPA Certified Contract Advisor is arduous and challenging. It requires the mandatory attendance at a two-day seminar and the passage of a written examination that has a passage rate of less than 50%. The materials covered on the exam include the NFL’s Collective Bargaining Agreement (“CBA”), the Salary Cap, NFL Player Benefits, NFLPA Regulations Governing Contract Advisors, Substances of Abuse & Performance Enhancing Substances Policies, and other issues relevant to player representation.
Now that he is an NFLPA Certified Contract Advisor, Mr. Haas is authorized to represent NFL players and college football draftees/prospects in contract negotiations with NFL teams. Mr. Haas can also handle contract negotiations when a particular company considers their client for an endorsement deal or managing Name, Image, and Likeness (“NIL”) contract negotiations.
